PHOTOS: Minnetonka Track Teams Fare Well at Lake Conference Meet

The Minnetonka boys track team takes second, girls place third at first annual Lake Conference Relay Meet on Friday

The Minnetonka boys track and field team placed second at the first annual Lake Conference Relays on Friday at the University of Minnesota’s Bierman Field.

Minnetonka finished with 147.0 points, trailing only Wayzata’s 152.5 mark. Ten teams competed at the relays—all five Lake Conference squads along with Monticello, Chanhassen, Henry Sibley, Chaska and Chisago Lakes.

The Skippers girls team finished tied with Hopkins for third overall at 119.0 points. They trailed Eden Prairie’s 133.0 and Wayzata’s 123.0.

Minnetonka’s boys team took first place in the 3x110 meter hurdles relay (48.28), the 4x100 meter relay (43.50), the 4x800 meter relay (8:25.60) and the 110 meter hurdles (15.74).

The girls took first place in the triple jump relay (94-8), the pole vault (9-0), the triple jump (33-10), the discus throw (113-6).
