PHOTOS: Minnetonka Dances In Lake Conference Kick Meet
Hopkins hosted Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Edina and Wayzata dance teams Thursday evening.
High spirits and high kicks were the order of the day as the Minnetonka Skipperettes dance team came away with fourth place Thursday in a meet at Hopkins against four other teams.
Minnetonka ended up in fourth place by two rank points behind Hopkins.
"Our strength was our high energy and the fun and exciting routine we put out on the floor," said Coach Maggie Arvesen. "The fans were very impressed with the routine and thought it was really fun to watch. I was very proud of how confident my girls looked and how energetic they were."

Arvesen said the team will focus on their kick technique and execution for the conference meet next Thursday at Wayzata High School.
