Minnetonka’s Max Langheinrich to Play in All-Star Series

The Skippers pitcher was one of 20 west metro players selected for the Metro West team.

Minnetonka’s Max Langheinrich has been selected to play for the Metro West team in the 39th Annual Play Ball! Minnesota High Scool Baseball All-Star Series, the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association announced.

The Skippers pitcher was one of 20 west metro players selected for the team.

Langheinrich is ranked ninth in the state, according to MaxPreps. The senior held his opponents to a .232 batting average and maintained a 3.55 ERA over 21.2 innings.

The Metro West team starts practice Thursday. It plays the North team at 7 p.m. Friday at Chaska Athletic Park (725 W. First St., Chaska). It plays the South team at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and the Metro East team at 6 p.m. Saturday.
