Minnetonka's Fisher: Mr. Lacrosse?

Minnetonka senior midfielder Chase Fisher was selected as one of seven finalists for the 2011 Minnesota Mr. Lacrosse Award.

The Mr. Lacrosse Award winner will be announced Sunday, June 5 at the Grand Ballroom at River Centre in St. Paul, two days before the state lacrosse tournament kicks off.

In 13 games this year, Fisher led the Skippers with 31 goals and 14 assists, both team highs. The Skippers went 10-3 during the regular season and won a share of the Lake Conference title with Eden Prairie. Each squad held a 7-1 conference mark.

The Skippers hold the No. 2 seed in the Section 6 tournament and will begin play at home on Thursday against Champlin Park. Gametime is set for 7 p.m.
