Minnetonka’s Conor McGinnis Places Ninth at State Golf Tournament

The junior shot a 150.

Minnetonka’s Conor McGinnis cracked the top 10 at the AAA state golf championship Thursday at Bunker Hills.

The junior’s score of 150 tied him for ninth place, seven strokes behind the leader.

The Skippers had two girls in the tournament. Senior Abby Conzemius shot a 160—good enough to tie her at 15th place. Senior Laura Bowman had a score of 167, which tied her for 26th place.

Hopkins didn’t fare as well. The Royals didn’t have any girls in the tournament. In the boys’ competition, Hopkins junior Paul Vogt tied for 60th with a score of 164.
