Minnetonka Volleyball Clinches Lake Conference Title

The Skippers should be the top seed in the section tournament.

Minnetonka High School’s volleyball team clinched the Lake Conference title Tuesday with one game remaining in the regular season, the Chanhassen Villager reported.

The Skippers’ win over Eden Prairie brought them to 21-5 for the season. In Lake Conference competition, Minnetonka’s only losses are to Eden Prairie on Aug. 31 and Hopkins on Oct. 10.

The Oct. 1 state coaches association rankings, the most recent available put Minnetonka at fifth place for Class AAA.

For the final game of the regular season, Minnetonka will take on Rodgers at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at home.

The Section 6AAA tournament begins Oct. 24. Brackets haven’t been set, but Minnetonka should have the No. 1 seed.
