The Skippers beat the defending state champions 2-1, handing the Eagles their first loss of the season and just their second defeat in two years
In a battle of top 10s, the Minnetonka Skippers baseball team proved they are for real as they beat top-ranked Eden Prairie 2-1 Wednesday at Veterans Stadium in Minnetonka.
Eden Prairie, the defending state Class AAA champions, suffered its first loss of the season. They fell to 3-1 after going 26-1 last year. Minnetonka improved to 4-0.
The Skippers scored single runs in the third and fifth innings before giving up a lone Eagle run in the top of the sixth.
