Minnetonka Runs At Apple Jack Invitational

Skippers boys third, girls seventh at annual meet in Lakeville.

It was a chilly day, but a perfect one for a run as the Minnetonka cross-country teams competed at the Apple Jack Invitational in Lakeville on Friday.

Kyle Anderson and Ricardo Celleri placed 13th and 14th, respectively with times of 16:20.2 and 16:30.8, to lead the Skippers boys, with Scott Kvidera taking 19th in 16:41.0, Aaron Nemitz coming in 24th in 16:53.9 and Nate Janssen running to 35th in 17:16.8 to round up the varsity scoring.

Also running for the boys were Marcus Speca (17:25.3) and Jay Evans (17:26.6), who placed 40th and 41st, respectively.

The Minnetonka girls took seventh overall in the varsity race, led by Lucy Hoelscher in ninth place with a 14:58.5.

Also running for the girls were: Maggie Carruth (15:36.7) in 33rd, Anna Meiusi (15:46.8) in 43rd, Bebe Weller (15:47.3) in 45th, Anne Daly (16:00.9) in 54th, Alexandra Hitt (16:32.9) in 79th and Taylor Hansen (16:37.1) in 80th.
