CHEAT SHEET

TIME: 7 p.m. Tuesday
LAST MEETING: Wayzata defeated Minnetonka 3-2 earlier this season on the road. Wayzata won the first two sets, but the Skippers rallied to win the next two before losing the final set 15-11. The two meet again in the Skippers' regular season finale.

ON THE LINE
The Skippers, under first year head coach Karl Katzenberger, are one of the state’s most improved teams. They finished just 12-16 last season. Minnetonka has won 12 of their last 15 matches with their three losses being against ranked team, No. 7 Wayzata, No. 5 Shakopee and No. 8 Eden Prairie. The Skippers won the Richfield and St. Michael-Albertville Tournament during that stretch. The Trojans, which finished runner-up in the Class AA state tournament last year, have finished third in the Southwest MN Challenge and Apple Valley Tournament.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Laura Herman- Minnetonka Libero
The sophomore leads the state with 417 digs.

Julie Doyle- Wayzata setter
The senior has lead the Trojans to consecutive state championship appearances. The All-State selection has committed to Oklahoma and leads the team in assists and service aces.

SKIPPERS WIN IF...
They can neutralize standouts Doyle and Toni Okuyemi, who missed the beginning of the season after she suffered a ruptured Achilles' tendon in April.

TROJANS WIN IF...
They can continue to serve well and put pressure on Minnetonka’s back row.
