Minnetonka Lacrosse Teams Sweep Edina

Unlike many metro teams, the Minnetonka Skippers squads were able to get in a majority of their contests despite the less-than ideal playing conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Boys Lacrosse: Skippers 10, Edina 5

The Minnetonka boys lacrosse team remained unbeaten this season on Tuesday night as a 10-5 win at Edina improved the Skippers' record to 5-0.

Heading into the game, Chase Fisher's 13 points (nine goals, four assists) led the team.

Minnetonka is scheduled to play at Lake Conference rival Eden Prairie at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Girls Lacrosse: Skippers 14, Edina 12

A 14-12 slugfest victory at Edina on Tuesday improved the Minnetonka girls lacrosse team to 4-0 on the season.

Hillary Duda leads the Skippers with 14 goals and 12 assists on the spring, with Holly Korn logging 11 goals and four assists in the four victories.

Minnetonka is slated to play at Eden Prairie at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Girls Golf: Conzemius Leads Skippers To Lake Dual Win

Abby Conzemius earned individual medalist honors as her score of 42 led the Minnetonka girls golf team to a 188-199 Lake dual meet win against Hopkins at the Oak Ridge Country Club on Wednesday.

Baseball: Skippers 5, Hopkins 4

The Minnetonka baseball team gutted out a 5-4 victory over Lake rival Hopkins in eight innings on Wednesday to improve to 6-1 on the season.

Individual statistics were not available. The Skippers now take a 2-1 conference record into a Friday night game against Edina at Braemar Park; first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Boys Golf: Minnetonka Third At Brainerd Invitational

The Minnetonka boys golf team placed third at the Brainerd Invitational at the Pines at Grand View course on Wednesday with a score of plus-17. Individual results were not available.
