Minnetonka High School Fall Sports Update

Check out how your favorite team is doing this fall season.

Girls Tennis:  The Section 2AA Champions open the state meet on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at noon vs. Stillwater at the Baseline Tennis Center on the University of Minnesota campus.

Bri Smith (11th) and Theresa Tebon (9th) qualified for the state doubles tournament by finishing as section 2AA Champions.  They will compete at the state tournament on Thursday, Oct. 25.  Brackets:  http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/showbrackets.asp?tournid=2674&bracket=6368 

Football:  The Minnetonka Football Team finished the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 17.  Sectional brackets will be determined Thursday, Oct. 18.

Volleyball:  The Skippers Volleyball team (17-8) will complete their final game of the season on Thursday Oct. 18 at Totino Grace.  They will open section competition on Tuesday, Oct. 23, or Thursday, Oct. 25.  Seeding occurs on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Girls Swimming:  The team recently won the section 2AA True Team Title at the Edina Community Center and will complete at the State True Team Meet Saturday Oct., 20.  The Minnetonka Girls Swim Team is currently ranked #1 in the state.   

The section meet at the Art Downey Aquatics Center (Edina Community Center) is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 8  at 5 p.m. and diving on Friday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m. (Prelims). The finals are for Saturday Nov. 10 at 1 p.m.   The state swim meet will be Nov. 15-17 at the U of M Aquatics Center.

Cross Country:  The boys and girls cross country teams open sectional competition on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista.  The girls race starts at 3:40 p.m. and the boys race starts at 4:15 p.m.  

Girls Soccer:  The team finished the season with a 11-2-5 record and lost to Hopkins in a shootout on Saturday, Oct. 13 in the region semi-finals.

Boys Soccer:  Finished the regular season with 5-6-4 record, and lost to Prior Lake High School in the region quarter finals.  ​
