Minnetonka Football Rolls Into Section Semifinals
DeAndre Singleton scored three times as the Skippers advanced to Saturday's semifinals
The Minnetonka football team defeated Minneapolis Southwest by a 56-7 margin on Tuesday in the Section 6AAAAA quarterfinal in Minnetonka.
The Skippers advanced to face Chanhassen in the section semifinals on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Minnetonka scored 56 unanswered points on Tuesday, including three touchdown runs by DeAndre Singleton. Andre Eubanks scored twice as well on two runs, and Bennett Celichowski returned a fumble 31 yards for a touchdown.

Philly Wenderoth scored on a touchdown reception from Joe Martinson, and James McFarlin also scored on a touchdown run.
With the win, Minnetonka improved to 7-2 on the season. Southwest ends the year with a 5-4 record.
