Minnetonka Football Rolls 43-0
The Skippers haven't allowed a point yet this season heading into their homecoming contest on Friday
In what’s becoming a trend in 2011, the Minnetonka football team rolled past another opponent Friday at Einer Anderson Field, topping Bloomington Jefferson 43-0 in its final non-conference tilt before the Lake Conference season opens next week.
The Skippers (3-0) rolled thanks to another strong defensive performance. Minnetonka hasn’t allowed a point this season, pitching shutouts in all three of its games to open the fall.
After blanking Totino-Grace 28-0 to open the year, the Skippers beat Robbinsdale Armstrong 24-0 last week.

This week was no different.
Minnetonka opened up a 22-0 lead after the first quarter and added another 14 points before halftime to take a 36-0 lead. A touchdown in the fourth quarter finished off scoring on the night.

Quarterback Scott Benedict passed for three touchdowns in the game, and three different Skippers scored on running plays.
Jefferson falls to 1-2 on the year.
The Skippers open up Lake Conference play against Edina on Friday in their homecoming game. The Hornets (2-1) are coming off their first loss of the year, a 27-14 loss to Lakeville North.
