The Hopkins girls’ 4x100 meter relay team beat their own state record at the Class AA state track and Field championships Friday and Saturday at Hamline University.

Junior Dami Manuel-Moore, junior Elise Anderson, sophomore Siona Fitzhugh and senior Taylor Anderson finished with a time of 47.48.

Hopkins set the previous record last year with a time of 47.73. Manuel-Moore, Elise Anderson and Taylor Anderson were all on that relay team.

Overall, Hopkins girls finished sixth with 34 points.

Anderson also finished second in the 200-meter dash.

Hopkins boys finished sixth overall with 29 points.

Junior Terrance Bowers won the triple jump with a leap of 45-feet-9¾-inches.

Meanwhile, junior Shaheed Hickman won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.90 seconds, a tenth of a second better than the second-place finisher.
