Bullinger, Glover Lead Hopkins Swimming at Edina Invite

Hopkins’ top swimmers continued their winning ways with strong performances at Saturday’s Edina Varsity Invitational.

Edina, Elk River, Hastings, Hopkins and Northfield all competed in the meet. Royals’ swimmers racked up the top-three finishes:

• First, 100-yard Freestyle: Rae Bullinger, 54.52
• First, 500-yard Freestyle: Kate Glover, 5:20.64
• Second, 200-yard Freestyle: Kate Glover, 1:59.92
• Third, 100-yard Butterfly: Molly Meland, 1:00.94
• Third, 200-yard Freestyle Relay: Kate Glover, Molly Meland, Kate Segar, Rae Bullinger; 1:46.30
• Third, 100-yard Backstroke: Rae Bullinger, 1:02.17
• Second, Diving: Ari Brace, 212.50 points

The Royals compete again Oct. 3 when they return to Edina.
