Big Weekend For Local Figure Skaters

The Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club synchronized skating teams are on their way to skate at sectionals in Plymouth, MI.

Local figure skaters are looking at a big weekend ahead. 

The  Windjammers Intermediate and Juvenile synchronized skating teams are headed to Plymouth, MI to compete in the 2012 Midwest & Pacific Synchronized Skating Sectionals this weekend.

Thursday morning, the Juvenile team took time to create a photo album at the Lindbergh Terminal at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. The Intermediate team arrived in Detroit Wednesday night.

In addition, this weekend the Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club has more than 20 individual skaters competing in the Northland Invitational skating competition in Duluth. This competition features skaters from throughout the midwest and Canada. Look for results for both the Windjammer synchronized skating teams and the club's individual skaters on Monday.
