Minnetonka Coach, Player Compete in All-Star Game
A local standout player and local coach competed in game that divided the state's all stars into North and South teams.
The 38th Annual Minnesota All-Star Football Game took place on Saturday evening at TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota.
The All-Stars, divided into two teams representing the Northern and Southern parts of the state, battled in a close game.
Minnetonka head coach Dave Nelson served as head coach of the South All-Stars. Nelson—who served as an assistant coach in the 1987 All-Star game—was picked to coach the South squad by the All-Star committee of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association.

Minnetonka’s Josh Colville was a Second-Team All-State selection at offensive guard. Colville—who’s bound for North Dakota State University on a football scholarship—spent the past week on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College with his fellow All-Stars, participating in the traditional week-long all-star training camp.
The North team won the game by a final score of 17-7.
