Time for the Tonka Trot Family Run

There’s still time to register for tomorrow’s Tonka Trot Family Fun Run.

Registration can be completed at Groveland Elementary before the event at 7:30 a.m.

Four Minnetonka elementary schools, as well as Minnetonka's Preschool and Early Childhood Family Education, are teaming up to sponsor the event.

“This is a fundraising event for Groveland, Clear Springs, Minnewashta and Scenic Heights elementary schools, and it also promotes healthy family activities,” said Kristen Applegate, a volunteer with Minnetonka schools.

The races, including a 10K, 5K and 1.5-mile Family Fun Run, begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 at . Registration and t-shirt hand-outs starts at 7:30 a.m. There will also be food from local vendors, inflatable jumpies, music and a live radio broadcast from Radio Disney.
