The Minnetonka girls hockey team played in the final game of the day at on Hockey Day Minnesota. The Skippers took a 5-1 victory over conference opponent Hopkins. 

Just as in the boys game, the Skippers opened up the scoring in the first period. The Royals responded with a goal of their own, tying the game 1-1. But then the Skippers found another gear and scored the next four goals. 

The Skippers (16-3-1) will next face off against Wayzata (8-10-2) on Jan. 24.
