Veterans' Day is Nov. 11. Students at Minnetonka schools will honor veterans with the following programs:

Excelsior Elementary fourth graders will honor our veterans and those serving our country during a ceremony on Nov. 9 beginning at 9:15 a.m. in the auditorium. Flanked by a color guard of uniformed Girl and Boy Scouts, the patriotically dressed students will take to the stage and fill an hour with songs and presentations in an uplifting and respectful program, based on the official ceremony for Veterans Day.

The program includes a number of patriotic numbers, including “Allegiance Rap,” “This Land is Your Land,” and “Declaration.” Students will present a variety of poems and writings that share their thoughts on freedom, country, and patriotism.
