Minnetonka Students Finally Return From Christmas Break Wednesday

First Student, the district's transportation company, is taking extra steps to ensure that buses are ready to run on time and continue running.

Minnetonka Public Schools will be open for business on Wednesday.

It is still expected to continue to be very cold on Wednesday, but the wind chill will not be nearly as low as it has been today, district officials said Tuesday evening.

"We encourage all parents to make sure that children are properly dressed for the elements, with minimal skin exposed," according to a district email to parents. "This is as important for older students as it is for younger students."

First Student, the district's transportation company, is taking extra steps to ensure that buses are ready to run on time and continue running. If there are issues with any individual bus routes, the district will communicate the impact of those individual issues by phone and email to the parents of impacted students in order to limit undue exposure.

The messages will also be posted to Facebook  and the Minnetonka App (which can be downloaded from the iTunes Store or Google Play).
