Minnetonka Schools Closed Thursday, Jan. 23

The National Weather Service is once again predicting dangerously cold temperatures and wind-chills.

The National Weather Service is once again predicting dangerously cold temperatures and wind-chills. On Thursday, Jan. 23, Minnetonka Public Schools will be closed.

  • All elementary, middle and high schools will be closed. High School students, watch for an adjusted final exam schedule from Mr. Erickson later this evening.
  • Minnetonka ECFE and Preschool will be closed.
  • Minnetonka Aquatics will be closed.
  • All daytime, afternoon and evening classes for Minnetonka Community Education are cancelled.
  • Explorer’s Club will be OPEN for students regularly scheduled to attend Explorer’s on Thursdays. Sites will be consolidated to Clear Springs, Deephaven and MCEC.
Temperatures are expected to dip down to -17 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chills as low as -36, according to the National Weather Service. A wind chill warning is in effect until noon Thursday.
