Minnetonka Homecoming Court Gives Back

The students packed nearly 11,500 meals for Feed My Starving Children.

Don’t believe Hollywood’s teen movies; Minnetonka High School’s Homecoming Royalty is about more than looks.

The 20 candidates spent part of Wednesday giving back to the community by packaging food at Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen. The students packaged 11,448 meals that will be shipped to Haiti—enough food to feed 47 children for a year.

Minnetonka students selected Minnetonka resident Anna Cushing as homecoming queen and Excelsior resident Michael Beauchamp as homecoming king. They were announced during Friday’s Pep Fest.
