Groveland Destination ImagiNation Team Headed to State

One Minnetonka DI team has earned the opportunity to compete in the state competition in April.

​After months of preparation, Minnetonka's nine Destination ImagiNation (DI) teams competed in the West/Southwest Metro Regional tournament in Maple Grove on Feb. 23.

One of the teams finished first in their age group and will now advance to the state DI competition on April 20.

Destination ImagiNation is an after-school activity, coordinated by Minnetonka Community Education, in which students work in teams and use their critical and creative thinking skills to reach innovative solutions to challenges. 

Minnetonka DI teams have performed well in regional and state competitions for the past several years. Last year, one Minnetonka team advanced to the international tournament in Tennessee.
