City, Schools Take on Pedestrian Safety at Clear Springs Elementary
Changes in pedestrian signals and crosswalks underway at the Minnetonka Elementary School.
The city of Minnetonka and the Minnetonka School District are working together to increase pedestrian safety at , which is located along County Road 101.
Last week, the pedestrian signals and buttons at the north and east legs of the intersection were removed—replaced with upgraded countdown timers at the south and west legs.
The school district is considering building pedestrian landings on either side of the crosswalks at Hanus Road and County Road 101. The city would also restrip those pedestrian crosswalks. Those changes could occur later this year.

According to the city, these improvements were put in place after on-going conversations between city staff and the Minnetonka School District.
