Back to School: Upcoming Programs on College Search

Minnetonka High School guidance counselors presents programs on college options and the admissions process.

With over 3,500 post-secondary institutions in the United States, finding the right fit (and meeting all the deadlines) can be challenging, and at times, even overwhelming.

Minnetonka High School has made a strong commitment to assist its students in post-secondary planning. To start the year, there are offering a number of presentations about a variety of topics and college options.

Students can access the list of dates on the college counselor website. Students and parents are invited to attend as many as they wish. Each topic is presented twice.

The first presentation, Top Ten List for College Admissions, is a general introduction into the college search process, with specific advice on touring campuses and beginning the application process. It will be given on Aug. 23 and on Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Forum at the high school.

The second topic is on Selective College Admission, with presentations scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sept. 1 and then again after school on Sept. 7, at 3:30 p.m.
