Alumni Association Hosts Brunch Sunday to Honor Inductees

The Minnetonka Alumni Association recently announced 11 new Alumni Award recipients. 

The Minnetonka community is invited to attend the third annual Minnetonka Alumni Awards Brunch and Annual Meeting on Saturday, Sept. 24. The ceremony is 10 a.m. to noon in the Minnetonka High School Student Union. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or by mail.  

The 2011 award recipients   

Distinguished Alumni Award

Lee Blessing- Class of 1967, Playwright  

Peter Holthe- Class of 1978, Director of Clinical Data Management and Systems, Roche Molecular (awarded posthumously)

Distinguished Service Award

Frank Kuzma ‘79 and Charlie Kanan ‘69- Minnetonka Diamond Club

MHS Skippers Hall of Fame

Jill (Lindquist) Hanson- Cheerleader, Student Government, Intramural Sports, Class of 1970

Kenni Holmen- Musician, Class of 1976

Ann Reed- Musician, Class of 1973  

Colonel John J. Ziegler III- Football, Wrestling and Track & Field, Class of 1982

The Alumni Awards celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding alumni and honor graduates that represent what can be learned and accomplished with superior preparation in public education.
