HCMC Calls Off Proposed $53M Minnetonka Facility

The center was supposed to have been built at 10955 Wayzata Boulevard, near Interstate 394.

Hennepin County Medical Center has shelved plans to build a $53 million center in Minnetonka, Twin Cities Business reported Thursday.

Opus Development Corp. brought the project to the City of Minnetonka late last year. The company wanted to build a three-story, 121,000 square-foot building at 10955 Wayzata Boulevard, near Interstate 394, that would be occupied by an HCMC Clinic.

The facility was to provide specialty surgical services—including outpatient-only surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, advanced imaging procedures and surgical consultation services, it said at the time.
