VIDEO: Event Encourages 'Vote No' On Marriage Amendment
Adath Jeshurun Congregation hosted a well-attended event Sunday to energize the Jewish community against a proposed ban on marriage for same-gendered couples.
More than 500 Jews from all over the Twin Cities convened Sunday at , in Minnetonka, to organize and energize against the anti-marriage amendment. Rabbis and activists within the LGBT and Jewish communities spoke with passion about the Jewish values that compel the fight ahead and coached those in attendance to tell their personal stories to those who will listen. The afternoon—dubbed “Make History: Just Vote No”—was organized by Jewish Community Action.
