VIDEO: City Council Candidate Invites Me Inside

Peggy Kvam might not have won a seat on the Minnetonka City Council, but she's still a classy lady.

Incumbent Bob Ellingson in Minnetonka's first ward over Peggy Kvam, 789 votes to 590 votes.

But Peggy invited a reporter with a video camera into her home for an Election Night party. What a brave woman.

She introduced me to people I didn't know, told me to eat some food that she'd taken the day to prepare, and then allowed me to set up my "election shop" right there in her home while we waited for results.

Because the place was hopping and chairs were hard to come by, I sat on the floor next to a small, talkative woman– former county commissioner Mary Tambornino– with my laptop to tweet and facebook incoming election results.
