Since Doran Companies has withdrawn the application for the senior living facility at 17113 Minnetonka Blvd., SH Ventures would like to turn the site into a spot for 18 detached townhomes.
A neighborhood meeting for the new development proposal will be hosted on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at 17113 Minnetonka Blvd., Suite 200. The neighborhood letter is attached.
Because neighbors of the proposed senior living facility were opposed to the size of the 116-unit three-story building, SH Ventures thinks their idea will be more agreeable. The "detached townhome" concept means 18 individual two-story homes will be clustered around the central area of the site. This approach would eliminate the size, mass and height problems that the previous proposal posed, according to SH Ventures.
