Senate Approves Vikings Stadium 38-28

The bill will now go to a conference committee to iron out the differences between the House and Senate versions.

Late on Tuesday, the Minnesota State Senate approved the Vikings stadium bill on a 38-28 vote.

After 10 hours of discussion, senators advanced the $975 million plan after including extra fees for parking and items sold at the stadium and other amendments.

The vote follows the on Monday of its version of a Vikings stadium bill with a 73-58 vote.

A conference committee made up of members of the House and Senate will negotiate a final bill and get approval from their respective bodies. If approved, the final bill could be on Gov. Dayton's desk by the end of the week.

• Sen. Terri Bonoff (DFL-Minnetonka) voted yes for District 43.

• Sen. David Hann (R-Eden Prairie) voted no for District 42. 

• Sen. Gen Olson (R-Minnetrista), of District 33, did not vote.
