Residential Property Revaluation Underway in Minnetonka

A notification of inspection letter is first mailed to those in the revaluation areas.

The city of Minnetonka assessing department has begun its revaluation of the city’s residential properties.

Cities are required by state law to value homes for tax purposes annually, specifically looking at each home once every five years, to ensure the city has the correct information for each property in order to calculate an accurate market value each year.

A notification of inspection letter is first mailed to those in the revaluation areas. Residents who receive this letter should contact the appraiser to schedule an appointment for the review. The visits will be completed by the end of the year.
