You're Invited: Political Caucuses are on Feb. 7

Here is a Patch guide to Republican and Democratic caucuses in the Minnetonka area.

Minnesota Republicans and Democrats will gather locally on Tuesday, Feb. 7, for precinct caucuses.

Caucuses are meetings that give party members the opportunity to pick their presidential candidate preferences and discuss policy positions. Attendees from each party will also choose the delegates to represent them at county and state party conventions.

In order to vote, offer resolutions or become a delegate at a precinct caucus, attendees must be eligible to vote in the next general election, live within the precinct's boundaries and be in general agreement with the principles of the political party.
