Local Lawmakers: This Week in Video

Minnetonka Patch and The UpTake are teaming up to bring you news from your legislators-- in their own words.

This installment of 'Patch Politics' features Senate Assistant DFL Caucus Leader, State Senator Terri Bonoff, (DFL-Minnetonka), as she discusses:

  • Gov. Mark Dayton's Thursday veto of the GOP-crafted budget bill, which would have cut $900 million from the State’s looming $6.2 billion budget deficit.
  • A recent ethics investigation prompted by emails sent out by a legislative assistant to State Sen. Scott Newman, R-Hutchinson. Three of Sen. Bonoff's DFL colleagues allege Newman rejected a meeting request from the Minnesota Nurses Association, because the MNA supported Newman's opponent in the November election. That meeting rejection was done via an email from Newman's legislative aid.
  • Valentine's Day-- and candy!

Every week, check Minnetonka Patch's 'Patch Politics' column for video segments featuring your local lawmakers: Sen. Terri Bonoff (DFL-District 43), Sen. David Hann (R-District 42), Sen.
