‘Great Uncertainty, Great Confusion, Great Concern’: Hann Slams MNsure

Sen. David Hann, whose district includes Eden Prairie and Minnetonka, criticized problems with the rollout of the new health insurance exchange.

With just a few days to go before Monday's MNsure enrollment deadline, Sen. David Hann (R-District 48) said Gov. Mark Dayton needs to take leadership to ensure people are actually able to enroll in the state’s new health insurance exchange.

At a news conference Monday, Hann said people have still not received their MNsure insurance cards and questioned what will happen when they need to go to the doctor after the plan is set to take effect Jan. 1.

“There is great uncertainty, great confusion and great concern about what is going to happen come Jan. 1 when people are going to go to the doctor and they’re maybe going to assume they have a plan because they signed up somewhere and they have not really been enrolled in an insurance plan. They are not covered,” said Hann—whose district includes Eden Prairie and Minnetonka.
