City of Minnetonka Considers Utility Rate Change

The city council is thinking about increasing water and sewer rates.

The following was released by the city of Minnetonka:

In December the Minnetonka City Council will consider, after two years of rate stability, an increase to water and storm water rates and changes to the sewer rate structure to ensure that:

  • Systems remain fiscally sound and financially sustainable,
  • Infrastructure can be maintained into the future, and
  • The city’s water conservation and ecological goals can be met.

The meeting will be held as part of the Minnetonka City Council’s regular meeting Monday, Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Minnetonka City Council Chambers.
