Bonoff Gains Support from Chambers of Commerce

State Senator Terri Bonoff, who represents Minnetonka and Plymouth, has won the re-election support of the political arms of both the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.

State Senator Terri Bonoff, who represents Minnetonka and Plymouth, has won the re-election support of the political arms of both the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce. 

The Minnesota Leadership Fund and TwinWest Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee, two of Minnesota’s largest associations of employers, announced their support of Bonoff on Tuesday, citing her pro-business, pro-jobs voting record in the Legislature.

“Our PAC’s endorsement is a strong statement to businesses and employees that Senator Terri Bonoff is committed to job growth and economic vitality for Minnesota,” said David Olson, head of the Minnesota Chamber Leadership Fund. “Voting for Senator Terri Bonoff is one of the best steps citizens in Senate District 44 can take to secure their economic future."

Bruce Nustad, head of the TwinWest PAC Board, said Bonoff’s support of business and jobs has been outstanding. The TwinWest Chamber represents Minnetonka, Plymouth and other west and northwest suburbs and is one of the largest in the state.

“The TwinWest PAC is proud to support Terri Bonoff,” said Nustad. “Terri Bonoff is a pro-business candidate who strongly supports the TwinWest business agenda as we work to grow jobs and the economy.”

Bonoff won high marks in supporting the positions of both the Minnesota Chamber and the TwinWest Chamber on issues such as taxes, spending, government reform, transportation, health care, education and energy.

"I'm proud to work in partnership with our business community to develop policies that promote job growth. I'm honored by their recognition,” Bonoff said. “Together we will strengthen the economic vitality of Minnesota."

Bonoff has been praised for her bipartisan, moderate representation of the area since she was first elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2005. Bonoff has been re-elected twice and been endorsed for election repeatedly by pro-business, taxpayer and good government groups.
