Minnetonka Police and FBI Looking for this Man

The Minnetonka Police and the FBI are searching for this man in connection with an attempted robbery at a Minnetonka bank on Feb. 18.

The FBI and Minnetonka Police are looking for a man, who they say, tried to rob a Minnetonka bank on Feb. 18.  

Minnetonka Police have confirmed that a group of  was selling cookies inside the bank at the time of the attempted robbery. No injuries were reported.

 Sergeant Steven Kniss told Minnetonka Patch that at 11:30a.m. on Friday, a man walked into the across from , waited his turn in line, and then demanded money from a teller.

According to the FBI, the robber approached a teller and told the teller to give him all of her 50s and 100s, but instead of handing over any money, the teller simply walked away. The robber then left the bank.

Kniss said the suspect did not display a weapon during the attempted robbery. The suspect did not get away with any money. He was last seen fleeing the bank, located at 1801 Plymouth Road, on foot.

The alleged robber is described as a white male, about 35 years old, about 6'2" tall, and weighing about 240 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a grey Nike hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, red Minnesota Twins baseball cap, and white sneakers. 

Kniss said it’s standard practice for the FBI to team up with Minnetonka police detectives, in the event of a bank robbery.
