Blotter: Police Break Up Underage Drinking Party

Minnetonka Police also made an arrest for drug possession.

May 16

10:51 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 2400 Lindbergh Drive (Hopkins High School) to investigate reported drunkenness.

May 17

11:37 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 10700 Cedar Lake Road (Hopkins North Junior High School) after a child accidentally brought a BB gun to school. For a full story on that incident, click . 

1:18 p.m.: Minnetonka Police responded to a reported obscenity/exposure situation at 2400 Lindbergh Drive (Hopkins High School). According to officials, on the scene, officers found a boy who was wearing his pants very low. 

4:09 p.m.: an 83 year old man from Eden Prairie was cited at 4848 County Road 101 () for unauthorized use of handicap permit.

May 18

3:54 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to Minnetonka Boulevard and Tonkawood Road to investigate drug activity.

9:46 p.m.: a 44 year old Minnetonka woman was arrested at CR 73 and Greenbrier Road for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.

May 19

10:47 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Jordan Avenue for reported disturbance/party/noise. Five individuals were then charged with underage consumption (18-21 years old).

May 20

12:50 a.m.: a 56 year old man from Minneapolis was arrested at CR 73 and Cedar Lake Road for the traffic offense IPS, a gross misdemeanor. This is when someone is caught driving after their license has been cancelled because it was determined that their having a license is inimical to public safety. A long record precedes this gentleman’s arrest, including 7 accounts of assault, 4 accounts of 5th degree drug possession, and at least 6 other accounts of IPS.  

10:00 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 5900 block of Shady Oak Road for a reported burglary. No more information is available. 

May 21

2:00 a.m.: a 51 year old male from St. Louis Park was arrested at Tonkawood Road and Tonkawood Court for 3rd degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor.

2:14 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 11900 Wayzata Boulevard for a reported burglary. No more information is available. 

6:08 p.m.: Minnetonka Police responded to a reported burglary on the 10600 block of Smetana Road. No more information is available. 

9:21 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 5200 block of Beachside Drive to investigate drug activity. No more information is available. 

11:06 p.m.: a 48 year old man from St. Paul, was arrested at Williston Road and County Road 3 for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.

May 22

12:05 a.m.: a Minnetonka man, 41, was arrested at Hopkins Crossroad and Minnetonka Boulevard for 3rd degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor. This individual has previously been charged with a 4th degree DUI in 2010,as well  aggravated DUI and 5th degree assault in 1997.

4:00 a.m.: a 22 year old man from Eden Prairie was arrested at I-494 and Hwy 7 for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.

5:33 p.m.: a 51 year old male from Minnetonka was arrested at Glendale and Cherry Hill for 3rd degree DWI and for the traffic offense DAC-IPS, a gross misdemeanor. This gentleman was convicted with a 4th degree DWI in 2010, 5th degree drug felony in 2007 and other driving under the influence violations in the ‘90s.
