Police Believe Minnetonka Mom Left 6-Year-Old Alone Overnight to Go Drink

Jillian Rae Neimeyer has been charged with gross-misdemeanor neglect of a child.

A Minnetonka woman has been charged with leaving her 6-year-old alone all night so she could go out and drink.

Hennepin County has issued a court summons for Jillian Rae Neimeyer, 26, on two counts: Gross-misdemeanor neglect of a child and misdemeanor fourth-degree DWI.

On Dec. 1 at about 8 a.m., Minnetonka Police were called to Hunters Ridge Apartments to investigate a case of child neglect. They met a woman who said that a 6-year-old boy had come to her apartment that morning claiming that "mommy was gone."
