Minnetonka Woman Charged with Biting Police Officer

After drinking too much, a local woman allegedly assaulted two airport police officers.

A Minnetonka woman allegedly bit a police officer in a drunken rage last week. And now the Hennepin County Attorney has charged her with two felony assault charges.

According to court documents, Minneapolis International Airport Police responded to a disturbance at Gate E2 of the Lindbergh Terminal and found Megan Lee Biersach, 24, causing a disturbance. The officers said they detected the odor of alcohol on Biersach. She was also reportedly very upset—crying and cursing.

As officers tried to detain Biersach and take her detox, she allegedly resisted, spitting in one officer’s face and biting another officer in the arm. Because the bite broke the skin, that officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.
