Minnetonka Woman Awakes To See Stranger

While at the scene of a burglary, police received reports of five other break-ins at the Cliff's Apartments.

A Minnetonka woman says she was sleeping peacefully in her apartment when she saw the reflection of a unfamiliar man in her bedroom mirror. A short time later, Minnetonka police arrested a man outside the Cliff’s Apartments on suspicion of burglary.

On Nov. 27, at about 12:30 a.m., police report that after the woman saw the man's reflection, she got out of bed and called out her boyfriend’s name. The man left, but the woman then discovered the patio door open and her purse missing.

When police arrived to the scene, at 12300 Marion Lane, they observed a car with a woman driving and a man slumped down in the passenger seat. As officers searched for information on the car, it was driven out of the lot. An officer followed and stopped the car a short distance away. The driver–Bridget Mary Weld, 22 of St. Louis Park–was found to have a suspended sentence, so police impounded and searched the car.
