Minnetonka Police Blotter

The holiday season continues with several drinking and driving related offenses for neighboring residents passing through Minnetonka.

All information was taken from the Crime Activity Report.


Nov. 27

Between 12:42 a.m. and 10:02 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched 5 times to the 12200 and 12300 blocks of Marion Lane W for reported burglaries.

2:28 a.m.: a 23 year old male from Champlin was charged with a 4th degree DUI at I-394 and 7th Street N.

Nov. 28

1:41 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 11140 Bren Road W (Bren Road Eduction Center) for a reported assault.

Nov. 29

3:10 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 11050 Cedar Hills Boulevard (Cedar Hills Apartments) for a reported assault.

3:59 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Cedarwood Ridge for a reported burglary.

Nov. 30

9:12 a.m.: an 18 year old male from Plymouth was arrested at 11140 Bren Road W (Bren Road Education Center) for obstructing the police and disobeying a police officer, both misdemeanor offenses.

11:44 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 18301 Highway 7 () for reported drug activity.

2:05 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Lowell Street for a reported burglary.

4:47 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 10100 block of Cedar Lake Road for reported prostitution.

Dec. 1

2:00 a.m.: a 46 year old female from Minneapolis was arrested at 5624 Shady Oak Road () for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.

7:39 a.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Parkers Lake Road for a reported burglary.

1:03 p.m.: a 75 year old male from Minnetonka was charged with unauthorized use of a handicap permit at 13153 Ridgedale Drive.

6:55 p.m.: a 40 year old female from Ramsey was arrested at Highway 7 and Highway 101 for 4th degree DWI, a misdemeanor.

Dec. 2

10:40 a.m.: Kathryn Peters, a 52 year old female from Plymouth was arrested at 12300 Marion Lane () for traffic offenses of driving with a cancelled license after being determine inimical to public safety and driving under the influence of any alcohol, both gross misdemeanors. Ms. Peters has previously been charged on 3 different occasions with DWIs.

1:31 p.m.: Diane Monroe, a 45 year old woman from Minnetonka was arrested at 10641 Smetana Drive for fraudulent theft activities, a felony offense.

Dec. 3

3:41 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Merriam Road for a reported burglary.

7:24 p.m.: Minnetonka Police were dispatched to 12401 Wayzata Boulevard () for reported weapon violence.

Dec. 4

1:36 a.m.: James King Botham, a 22 year old male from Wayzata was arrested at Hopkins Crossroad and Cedar Hills Boulevard for 3rd degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor. Mr. Botham has previously been charged with a few accounts of underage liquor consumption and a 4th degree DWI.

2:38 a.m.: a 32 year old male from Shakopee was arrested at Hopkins Crossroad and Highway 7 for 4th degree DWI.

Dec. 5

1:20 a.m.: a 53 year old male from New Port was arrested at Plymouth Road and I-394 for (Driving after cancellation because the driver is seen as inimical to public safety), a misdemeanor. This man has an extremely long previous record of DWIs, providing false information to police, theft, drug possession, and assault.

4:21 a.m.: Francisco Huerta-Zanotelli, a 31 year old male from Shakopee, was arrested at I-494 and Minnetonka Boulevard for 3rd degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor, and open bottle, a misdemeanor. Mr. Zanotelli was previsiously charged with a DWI and open bottle in 2004.
