Minnetonka Fire Department Equips Liberia With Gear

A civil war in the country has caused a significant loss of infrastructure.

From the city of Minnetonka:

About a year ago, the fire department, with permission, donated some used gear for redistribution in Liberia.

Liability issues prevented the gear from being reused within the United States.

Liberia, a country about the size of Ohio, has been in civil war for almost a quarter of a century and has lost a significant amount of infrastructure. The gear has been put into service by a U.S. delegation helping to rebuild Liberia’s fire service with training and equipment.
