Man Found Drunk, Parked In Middle Of Highway
Alex Tumwebaze has three prior impaired-driving incidents.
A Bloomington man faces charges of felony first-degree driving while intoxicated after police found him parked in the middle of Minnesota Highway 101.
Minnetonka police say that on April 18 at 2 am, they found Alex Kris Tumwebaze, 36, slumped over, inside a car in the middle of the highway, near Clear Springs Elementary School in Minnetonka. According to the criminal complaint, filed July 26, a urine test revealed Tumwebaze had a .23 blood-alcohol level.
Tumwebaze has three prior impaired-driving incidents dating to 2002 and his driver's license restricts him to no use of alcohol.

Hennepin County prosecutors are charging him in the latest incident with two counts of felony DWI. Tumwebaze faces up to seven years in jail and $14,000 in fines for each count.
