Former Student Teacher From Minnetonka Sentenced for Photo Incident

Jenna Anne Schultz was accused of sending a naked photo of herself to a 17-year-old male student at Simley High School.

Jenna Anne Schultz, 27, of Minnetonka, was sentenced Tuesday to 30 days in jail and two years of probation.

Schultz pled guilty in November to Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (a gross misdemeanor) in connection with sending a naked picture of herself to a 17-year-old male student at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights where she was a student teacher. 

As part of her sentence, Schultz was ordered to pay restitution, complete a chemical dependency evaluation and pay a fine of $500.

Schultz was charged May 25 with two counts of felony stalking and a count of contributing to the deliqunency of a minor after allegedly sending the boy a series of explicit messages via Facebook.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Facebook messages from Schultz to the student became progressively more graphic and culminated with a photo of her completely naked.

In a post-arrest interview, Schultz allegedly told police she did not recall sending the student the photo or texting him. She chalked up the alleged behavior to being "really drunk."  

Hennepin County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant on Schultz's home and vehicles on June 12.
