AMBER ALERT CANCELLED: 17-Month-Old Found Safe, Suspect Held

An Amber Alert issued late Thursday was cancelled just before 6 a.m. Friday after authorities found the child unharmed and arrested a suspect.

In issuing the Amber Alert, police said a 17-month-old girl, Nahla Sky Rutledge, was abducted by her non-custodial father George Jermaine Rutledge, 31, in St. Louis Park.

Police said he is armed and dangerous. The direction of travel was unknown although alerts were sent to Wisconsin counties. Rutledge drives a tan 1998 Ford Expedition, with unknown plates from South Carolina, temporary registration sticker in back window.

The toddler, Nahla Sky Rutledge, was last seen at 1341 Jersey Ave. in St. Louis Park. She was wearing a pink top and grey pants with a leopard pattern. She was not wearing shoes or a jacket. She has a rash on her hands and legs and short black hair and weighs 20-25 pounds.
