Letter: Yvonne Selcer Thanks Voters

"Now is the time for us to come together to move our great state forward."

To the editor:

I am honored and humbled to assume the office of State Representative for House District 48A in January, and would like to express my deep appreciation to the community members who voted for me.

I will work each day to justify the trust you have placed in me.  My assurances to those who did not support me at the polls-I will work hard to represent you well, and my door will always be open.  Now is the time for us to come together to move our great state forward.

The conversations I had with many of you during the campaign made it clear that you want your elected officials to work together on the important issues of jobs and the economy, education, and those issues that affect our Minnesota quality of life.  It is also evident that there is much more that unites us than divides us.

Therefore, my focus will be on how best to represent and work with you all so that together we can move toward a brighter tomorrow for our children, our grandchildren, and ourselves.  I will keep you informed, and encourage you to contact me at any time with your thoughts, questions, and concerns.  Together there is much that we can accomplish.

Again, thank you for this opportunity to serve you as your next state representative.

Yvonne Selcer

Representative Elect, District 48A

Rep. Selcer - You have our best wishes and we hope you that will find a renewed spirit of cooperation in the House. We know that you will help set that tone. Yvonne, thank you for running a decent, civil campaign. Good luck and keep us informed.
