A memorial service will take place Friday for a 96-year-old Minnetonka woman who worked in the Pentagon during World War II, according to an obituary on Legacy.com.
Constandena "Dena" Georgiades died Sept. 21 at her Minnetonka home. She was born June 7, 1917, and raised in Huron, SD.
During World War II, Georgiades worked for the U.S. Army at the Pentagon. She then returned to Huron and worked for the First National Bank as secretary to the president for 42 years.
She moved to Minnetonka in 1988 to be closer to her sisters.
Her memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church (3450 Irving Ave. S., Minneapolis).
